On the last day of the decade…

The first decade of the new millennium is almost complete, and that makes us a little nostalgic at the Castle. While cleaning/rearranging our offices at the Castle (for the New Year, naturally), we came across the file that contains all of the newspaper clippings related to the Castle. Well, we sat ourselves down and had a good look through of all that’s been written about the building and we came across one of our favorite quotes from the owner:

From a 2004 article on the Castle

That quote, by owner Mostafa Tanbakuchi, was from an October 30, 2004 article entitled “New and improved armory,” in the Tonawanda News. He’s referring to winning the former armory in a private auction. We’re going to go out on a limb and say he was both lucky and, yes, frankly a little bit crazy (but certainly not stupid). Regardless of the personal attributes that contributed to the purchase, the results of the renovations speak for themselves. There is a genuine reason that we chose “Rich in History and Brimming with Elegant Ambiance” as our tag line…

And we’re very excited about the potential for this beautifully restored historical gem in the next decade. So please stay tuned, we promise great things to come and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
